WorkCover psychological treatment
For psychological injury or emotional effects following a workplace injury, where treatment is connected to the accepted claim and is reasonably necessary.
Before the first appointment
Andrew checks the nominated treating doctor referral, claim acceptance, eligibility for medical expenses and the insurer's treatment requirements. A SIRA Allied Health Treatment Request may be needed to request or continue treatment.

For trauma, anxiety and other psychological effects related to injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident, where treatment is suitable and accepted within the claim.

For approved treatment, the insurer pays Wiser Minds directly
You do not pay upfront and you do not claim the fee back. For approved WorkCover treatment, the workers compensation insurer or employer pays Wiser Minds. For approved CTP treatment, the CTP insurer pays Wiser Minds at the rate agreed in writing. Your out-of-pocket cost is A$0 for those approved services.

Reports are prepared only when the insurer requests and pre-approves them. Case conferences and provider travel are separate and proceed only where the applicable insurer requirements and approvals are met. If treatment or another service is not approved, Wiser Minds explains any private option and its cost first. Nothing proceeds as a private charge unless you agree.
WorkCover figures are the published SIRA upper limits effective from 1 February 2026. The approved service and billable amount are confirmed with the insurer before treatment.

Yes, once the young person or their appropriate decision-maker has consented to the referral and direct contact. Andrew then confirms claim requirements and clinical suitability before treatment begins.
After hours (weekdays from 5pm) and Saturday appointments may be available, subject to Andrew's current availability and the insurer's written approval. Approved WorkCover and CTP treatment is billed to the insurer under the scheme arrangements. The after hours and Saturday gap fees that apply to private and Medicare therapy are not charged to you on an approved claim. Mention your preferred times when you enquire.
