Cognitive assessment that documents what you need.
Clear findings, written for the people who need to understand them.
In-person assessment of cognitive and intellectual functioning for people aged 12 and over, used to clarify a presenting picture, document eligibility for supports and inform decisions about education, work and daily living. Assessment involves a structured clinical interview, developmental and educational history, validated measures selected for the individual and behavioural observation. Because cognitive testing uses standardised, hands-on tasks, it is conducted at the Blacktown office rather than by video.
Andrew will contact suitable new enquiries directly. For ages 12+. Assessment at the Blacktown office.

Before you enquire
Most commonly NDIS access and plan reassessments, Centrelink DSP applications, educational planning, workplace accommodations, and diagnostic clarification such as intellectual disability.
Reports are written with the end reader in mind: NDIS assessors, Centrelink, schools, employers, GPs and psychiatrists. The findings and recommendations are clear and practical rather than buried in jargon.
No. Wiser Minds does not provide medico-legal assessments or reports for court, insurance disputes, or other legal proceedings. Assessment reports are prepared for clinical, educational, workplace, and NDIS purposes.
No referral is needed to enquire. Some funding pathways have their own requirements, which Andrew walks through with you in that first call.
No. The report sets out measured cognitive and adaptive functioning and what it means for daily life, in the terms the NDIA and Centrelink assess against. The decisions themselves rest with those agencies. A clear report helps them decide using complete, clinically grounded evidence.
After hours (weekdays from 5pm) and Saturday appointments are available for private and Medicare therapy at the Blacktown office or by telehealth, with a higher gap fee than standard hours. If you need an assessment appointment outside standard weekday hours, mention it when you enquire and Andrew will let you know what is possible.
