Assessment for NDIS, ages 12+

Psychology assessments for your NDIS plan.

Clear evidence, in reports the NDIS can actually work with.

Wiser Minds provides ADHD, autism and cognitive assessment for self-managed and plan-managed participants aged 12 and over. Reports are written around the referral question and may provide evidence for access requests, functional impact or plan reassessment. Andrew reviews what the plan is asking for before confirming the appropriate assessment.

Self and plan-managed NDIS. No referral is needed to enquire.

How funding works

Using your NDIS funding for assessment

Wiser Minds works with self-managed and plan-managed participants. Once available funding and the support item are confirmed, a self-managed participant pays Wiser Minds and seeks reimbursement through their plan. For plan-managed participants, the plan manager settles the approved invoice. Andrew confirms the proposed funding pathway before anything is locked in.

Andrew reviews the referral question and report needs, then provides a written scope and quote before you decide whether to book. Available plan funding is checked separately.

What the report supports
  • Access requests and evidence of disability
  • Plan reassessments
  • Showing the functional impact of a condition
  • Justifying the supports you are asking for

Andrew confirms the proposed funding pathway before anything is booked.

Which assessment do I need for my NDIS plan?+

It depends on your goals and what your plan is asking for. ADHD, autism and cognitive assessment each serve different purposes. Andrew reviews the referral question and available information before confirming the appropriate assessment.

How long does the report take?+

A structured report is generally ready within 2 to 4 weeks after the assessment is complete and required information has been received. Expected timing is confirmed before you proceed.

Where are the assessments completed?+

ADHD and autism assessment may be completed by secure telehealth or at the Blacktown office, depending on suitability and availability. Cognitive and intellectual assessment uses standardised, hands-on tasks and is completed in person at the Blacktown office.

Do you offer after hours or Saturday appointments?

After hours (weekdays from 5pm) and Saturday appointments are available for private and Medicare therapy at the Blacktown office or by telehealth, with a higher gap fee than standard hours.
