Psychology that fits around Blacktown life
Western Sydney is big, the traffic is real, and time is tight. Flexible appointment options help take those barriers off the table.
Secure telehealth may suit participants who prefer remote appointments and have a private space. Blacktown office or mobile and in-home appointments in serviceable Western Sydney areas may suit other participants, depending on the support required. Andrew reviews the format against clinical suitability, plan goals, funding and availability.
ADHD and autism assessment for Blacktown residents
A structured process with assessment scope, evidence needs and report timing confirmed before you proceed.
ADHD and autism assessment can include a structured clinical interview, developmental history, validated rating scales and relevant collateral information. Cognitive assessment is completed in person at the Blacktown office. Any written report is limited to the assessment completed and the information available. No referral is needed to enquire.
How NDIS funding works for psychology
Two clear pathways. Start with an enquiry so Andrew can review funding and service fit before arranging next steps.
If you are self-managed, invoices come to you directly. If you are plan-managed, invoices go to your plan manager. Rates, support items, service scope and available funding are confirmed before services begin. Plan-managed services are kept within applicable current NDIS pricing limits. If you are agency-managed, you will need a registered NDIS provider, as Wiser Minds is not registered.
| Pathway | What is confirmed | Invoicing |
|---|---|---|
| Self-managed NDIS | Available funding, rate, support item and service scope before service | You pay Wiser Minds, then seek reimbursement through your plan |
| Plan-managed NDIS | Available funding, rate, support item and service scope before service | Invoices are sent to your plan manager |

Important: Wiser Minds is not a NDIS registered provider. Services are available to participants who are self-managed or plan-managed only. Agency-managed participants must access psychology through a NDIS registered provider. If you are unsure of your management type, check your NDIS plan or ask your support coordinator.
That pathway has separate eligibility and fee information.

Yes. Plan-managed participants can use Wiser Minds, with invoices sent to the plan manager and services kept within applicable current NDIS pricing limits. Self-managed participants are also welcome. Agency-managed participants need a registered NDIS provider.
No referral is needed to enquire. Andrew reviews your plan management, goals, requested service and available funding before confirming whether the pathway is suitable.
The process depends on the assessment required. ADHD and autism assessments commonly involve two to three sessions plus questionnaires, while cognitive assessment is completed in person at the Blacktown office. Written report timing is confirmed after scope and required information are clear.
After hours (weekdays from 5pm) and Saturday appointments may be available, subject to Andrew's current availability. NDIS-funded sessions are billed under the rates in your service agreement. The after hours and Saturday gap fees that apply to private and Medicare therapy do not apply to NDIS-funded appointments. Mention your preferred times when you enquire.
